Jenifer started Cooperworks, Inc. in 2000 with 14 years experience in higher education, corporate marketing, and design. Her career began at her alma mater, Agnes Scott College, a small women's college in Decatur, Georgia. After graduation she spent the next eight years creating new marketing strategies for recruiting prospective students before becoming the director of admission her last two years. During her tenure she:

  • Increased first-year applications by 11%
  • Increased the African-American student population by 124%
    in six years
  • Increased the adult student population by 47% in five years
  • Trained and managed 175 alumnae admission volunteers
  • Served on the College's Institutional Planning Committee
  • Chaired the Committee on Community Diversity
Jenifer spent the next five years with Melia Design Group as vice president of marketing and new business development. She coordinated complex interactive and print projects for such clients as VH1 music network, the College Board, Spelman College, Emory Healthcare, and Blue Cross & Blue Shield. She was the producer for a Harley-Davidson licensed video documenting 450 bikers who made an historical two-week trip across Route 66—herself on the back of a Harley.

As director of marketing and corporate development for Massachusetts-based Carnegie Communications, an educational publishing and consulting company, Jenifer was responsible for launching an international recruitment magazine and originating the company's Creative Services division. She also designed the corporate identity, managed the development of the corporate Website, and formed a critical alliance with ECIS (European Council of International Schools) to launch the international magazine, American Colleges and Universities.

Now, as president of her own company, she uses her diverse experience to deliver strategies and design that always starts with a great idea and results in new ways for her clients to reach their goals while extending their brand. One such example is the work she has done for Bennett College for Women since Johnnetta B. Cole became their president. She created everything from their new logo, tagline, inaugural materials, alumnae magazine, recruitment and fundraising collateral. In Jenifer's first year working with the College, Bennett experienced an 18% enrollment increase and the highest alumnae giving in its history. By the third recruitment cycle, student enrollment increased by an additional 29% in one year and the College raised over 50 percent of its $50 million goal for their Revitalizing Bennett Campaign. In 2004 her Book of Beginnings viewbook for Bennett won a CASE Award of Excellence.

Jenifer creates communications across media—specializing in print, Web design, and brand development. She has 20 years experience in higher education, non-profit and corporate marketing.
